ABOUT
Three city dwellers run for their lives, tragically betrayed by their fresh but ill-formed instincts to rely on high technology over their basal capacities.
ITERATIONS
Different projected content can bring new meaning to the same physical sculpture. Notable explorations of content are notated as numbered iterations (abbreviated iter.) on physical works.
(iter. 1, Nature vs Nurture), 2017
30 sec., loop
Instinctively lighting their way with failing phone lights, three techno-sapiens only call attention to themselves as they slink through the hunting field of natural-born predators.
(iter. 2, Emergency), 2017, 2017
30 sec., loop
The runners’ mobile devices betray their safety, blaring auto-played news alerts. The iteration questions the true urgency of recalls, politics, foreign affairs, attractions, scandals, statistics by juxtaposing them with the imminent threat of being torn apart by wolves.
(iter. X, Steps), 2017
30 sec., loop
Step counting applications continue coldly as the runners flee from being eaten alive.
